Oil Pastels

Similar to the use of charcoal, Oil Pastels provide a sense of freedom with how manageable mistakes are when using them. Not only that but, their bright and eye-catching colours help illustrations pop out more making the piece more intriguing to viewers. Alongside that is their ability to blend, layer and produce different textures, this makes pieces stand out more than other mediums as its able to capture more details in an illustration.

On the other hand, using oil pastels can be messy and achieving precise details with them can be quite difficult as you can find yourself smudging the pastels if you are not careful.
